Sonic Threads present a new concert combining Carnatic vocals, harp and electronics inspired by the work of Alice Coltrane.

Cotton manufacturing was a driving force of the Industrial Revolution fuelling colonialism and slavery. This concert is part of a series of concerts on the theme of Threads exploring the cultural impact of cotton manufacturing on local and global communities such as India, Africa and the Americas. This is one of a number of concerts that will take place in historical buildings along the Derwent Valley.
